RANDY NORMAN
Upon
graduation from high school, Randy began his musical career
and went straight into the nightclubs to pursue his dream
of being a working musician. Since that time, Randy has
played bass in two power trios - Viper
and Slammer - during the 80’s,
guitar in touring country band, Jackson Trace,
that put out an album during the 90’s, and currently
plays lead guitar in
the band Meet The Next. During Randy’s
career, he has opened for over a dozen international acts
such as Waylon Jennings,
Lee Roy Parnell, Montgomery
Gentry, Quiet Riot,
Ratt, Tracy Byrd,
Marshall Tucker Band and Blackfoot,
just to name a few. Randy has also done studio work playing
on several local artists CD releases, and recording ADDY
Award winning jingles for radio and television.
DANNY THOMPSON
To justify playing music most of his life, Danny has his
older brother Eddie to thank. Eddie, a working musician
himself, was a major influence in which Danny would sneak
into his older brother’s room while he was out and
pick his guitar up and play along as best he could with
Deep Purple, The
Beatles and so on. Fast-forward to 1983
thru 1990, Danny joined
the prominent, touring, Southeastern cover band Revolver
and found out what it was like to play in front of masses
of people. During his tenure with Revolver, Danny has
had the opportunity to open for major international acts
such as Blue Oyster Cult, The
Guess Who, The Romantics,
The Producers, and most notably,
REO Speedwagon at the height
of their success. For the seven years he played with Revolver,
he was the main keyboardist, but guitar is and always
will be his first love. He has also recorded two albums
with Revolver. Most recently, Danny is the former rhythm
guitarist, vocalist for the local cover band Memphis
Voodoo.
Randy and Danny understand the importance
of leaving a crowd satisfied. With many years of playing
between them, they can please virtually everyone with
their vast song list that grows as each week goes by.
